Terms of use
Last updated: October 10, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and noted. when you use the service. We have tried to keep them short and readable.
The service
noted. lets you write and organise notes, tasks and related content, and share them with others. The service is provided free of charge. We may add, change or remove features over time.
Your account
You need an account to save notes. Keep your password private and tell us if you believe someone else has used your account. You must be old enough to enter into this agreement under the laws of your country.
Your content
What you write stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, sync it between your devices, and show it to the people you choose to share it with.
Acceptable use
Do not use noted. to break the law, to distribute malware or spam, to harass others, to infringe someone else's rights, or to disrupt or overload the service. We may remove public links to content that breaks these rules and suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Storage limits
To keep the service free for everyone, each account has a storage allowance and a maximum size per file. You can see how much you have used in Settings → Storage.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep noted. available and your data safe, and we keep backups. Still, the service is provided as it is, without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. We recommend exporting important notes from time to time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using noted. and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken. If we make important changes to these terms, we will tell you in the app beforehand.
